Fall Recruiting Clinics

This fall, Gametime Stars is hosting a series of Friday Night College Recruiting Events designed to create a more personal and meaningful recruiting experience for players and their families.

Each event will feature coaches from three to four colleges, giving athletes and parents the opportunity to connect with programs in a smaller, more intimate setting. Participating colleges will rotate throughout the series, allowing families to select the events featuring schools that best match their player’s academic, athletic, geographic, and personal interests.

Rather than navigating a large, crowded camp, players will receive more focused interaction with college coaches while families gain valuable insight into each school, its softball program, and the recruiting process. Our goal is to help every athlete explore the right opportunities and make informed decisions based on what matters most to her future.

To preserve the personal nature of these events and provide every athlete with meaningful exposure, registration will be extremely limited. We expect each event to fill quickly, so families are encouraged to register early for the sessions that best match their player’s interests.

These nights are built to show more than velocity and pop times. Coaches can evaluate command, movement, pitch sequencing, mechanics, receiving, blocking, transfers, throwing accuracy, communication, game management, and how pitchers and catchers work together in competitive situations.

Pitchers will be evaluated on mechanics, command, movement, velocity, sequencing, adjustment ability, and competitive presence.

Catching

Catchers will be evaluated on receiving, blocking, throwing, footwork, communication, leadership, and management of an at-bat.

Pitcher–Catcher Connection

Pitcher-catcher pairs will be evaluated on communication, tempo, pitch calling, adjustments, and their ability to work together during live repetitions.

These nights are built to show more than routine defensive skills. Coaches can evaluate athleticism, footwork, range, arm strength, throwing accuracy, communication, decision-making, positional awareness, and how players perform in game-like defensive situations.

Infield

Footwork, glove work, range, transfers, throwing accuracy, runner awareness, and defensive decision-making.

Outfield

First step, reads, routes, ground-ball work, throwing accuracy, communication, and overall game awareness.

Catching

Throwdowns, pickoffs, defensive communication, leadership, and control of the field.

4

Pitcher Defense

Fielding position, bunt coverage, throwing, reactions, and communication during live defensive repetitions.

5

Full-Field Competition

Coaches will evaluate how athletes react, communicate, transition, and make decisions once repetitions become competitive—not only how they perform in isolated drills.
